Nagpur: The director of Education has urged parents applying for Right To Education (RTE) admissions to report irregularities in the admission process. The appeal was made through an official press release, focusing on the transparency of the scheme.
Under the RTE Scheme, 25% of seats in schools are reserved for admissions through an online process, where students are selected via a lotte sab kuchry system without human intervention. A school wise admission list is then declared. Parents have been cautioned against falling for fraudulent offers promising guaranteed admissions under RTE. Any suspected malpractices can be reported to :
- The Education Nilam Officer (Primary) of the district
- Municipal Corporation officials
- Divisional Deputy Director of Education
- Primary Education Directorate, Pune
- Commissioner of Education, Pune
All the Complaints can be submitted via email or in person, but the complaints are considered when you bring your proof along with relevant proof. The Education Department has warned that strict legal action will be taken against individuals found guilty of misconduct. RTE Admission process
Eligibility:
The admissions are open to children from reserved categories, economically weaker sections, HIV Positive children affected by COVID-19 and orphans, and children with disabilities
Application Criteria
- Parents can apply online and choose up to 10 schools within a 1 to 3 radius of their home
- Applications need to submit accurate documentation as per the child category
- Special provisions apply for children with disabilities, who must submit disability certificates showing 40% or more disability.
Documents Required
- It is depending on the child`s category, parents must upload different documents, Disability certificates for disabled applicants and other specific documents for reserved categories need to be provided.
- Some parents bring the Gas book passbook but Gas books are no longer valid as proof of residence. Only nationalized bank passbooks will be accepted
- If applicable rental agreements can be used as proof of residence because it is provided the agreement that agreement was registered before the application submission.
- Everyone has an Aadhaar card then your Aadhaar card details can also be submitted for verification.
